On July 9th, 2020 at 17:48 Hours, Stations 102, 265 (Sharpsburg), 111 (Blawnox), 217 ( Pleaseant Valley), 149 (Etna), 262 Truck (Shaler Villa) , 191 ( Millvale) and 260 ( Cherry City) were alerted to respond for a reported porch on fire in the 100 block of 22nd Street in Sharpsburg Borough. First arriving officer confirmed Aspinwall volunteer firefighters assisted with establishing a water supply and sent a crew into the fire building to access the floors above the fire, check for extention of the fire into the walls of the structure, isolate areas unaffected by smoke and effect natural ventilation. It was the third out of four incidents the department was dispatched to on this excessively hot and humid July day. Well done to all the departments dispatched and working this incident…and congratulations to Captain Bagnato on the quick stop with the 3/4 inch line at his disposal. 102 units cleared the scene at 18:41 Hours.
