Member Spotlight – “Jungle” Mike TroyanFrom time to time, we have been highlighting our members who are doing or who have done good things in our volunteer fire department, for Aspinwall or in our surrounding communities. Today, we are going to set our focus on another one of our Life Members, Mike Troyan. Affectionately, we call Mike, “Jungle Mike”. He has been with our volunteer fire department since 1990. Throughout his years with us, he has served in the positions of 1st and 2nd Lieutenant, Captain, 1st Vice President, President, Safety Officer. And for the past 15 years, Mike has been our department’s Chaplain. All of our volunteer firefighters and members come from all walks of life. When Mike is not volunteering, he works for the State of Pennsylvania. Mike is an all-around community type of person. Not only has “Jungle” been an integral member of our department, he’s been active in his church and he has a great connection with Santa Claus.
